Choosing a short-term rental over traditional options for your travel to Athens.

A. and K. is a Greek-Australian couple in their early 30s who live for travelling. And what kind of travelers would they be, if they weren’t paying a visit to Athens. In their opinion, each city has their own factors that make them decide about their type of accommodation.

A. and K. have named the sense of safety as one key factor; in safer environments you aren’t afraid of selecting leaving outside the defined boundaries of the tourist zone, or of a hotel accommodation. In Athens, they wanted to live like locals, with the freedom of movement that our rental properties can offer.

Secondly, they shared their enthusiasm in the local cuisine and the purity of the ingredients in Greece. Although they aren’t planning staying at home, they have vividly expressed their wish to have their own “Greek” meal in their property, made by them, as they both claim to be excellent cookers!

While we were speaking you could see and feel their presence getting more and more relaxed, with a hint of joy drawn on their faces. When I asked, they responded that Athens, as Greece in general, had a sense of serenity and calmness that was gradually being introduced to them. Coming from a different environment back in Australia, having selected to rent a property in Kolonaki surprised them with how quiet it was living in the city centre without having to undergo the city’s noise.
